Lowland gorilla trekking in Congo is currently done in the Kahuzi-Biega National Park. This park also lies in the eastern end of the DRC and visitors have a chance to encounter the eastern lowland gorillas in the wild.
Visitors on a group gorilla tour to explore the eastern lowland gorillas can explore the Mpungwe group, Nganwe gorilla group, Mugahuka group, Chimanuka, and Bonnani gorilla group.
